The incumbent must define, prepare and promote best practices and methodologies in portfolio management, project management, Agile and Traditional systems development, quality management and application support. With the use of your technical leadership, you must work in collaboration and support program managers as well as project managers and resources involved in managing portfolios and projects to enforce usage of these methodologies, best practices, tools, processes and procedures. Through your expertise and experience, you will also be called up to recommend innovative and efficient improvements of these methodologies and practices.

With regard to portfolio, project, Agile and Traditional development, quality and application support methodologies, you must:

• Exercise leadership of influence and expertise in the field, both for IT and lines of business;
• Develop, update, promote and communicate these methodologies;
• Recommend innovative and efficient improvements and best practices to IT management Support and coach the resources who use these methodologies;
• Train resources in the usage of the methodologies;
• Ensure, through project reviews and other means, that the methodologies are appropriately used;
• Prepare templates, examples and guides to support methodologies;
• Ensure that these methodologies are aligned with Standard Life Group Change Management Standards;
• As a Canadian representative, exercise a leadership of influence and expertise in the evolution of the Change Management Standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or equivalent work experience
• Have at least 10 years experience in an IT environment
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a role with exposure to Project Management, software development and quality assurance
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent QAI (Quality Assurance Institute), CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst) or CSTE (Certified Software Test Engineer) certification or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Agile development
• Bilingual, French and English, written and spoken
• Good oral presentation and group training skills
• Strong analytical abilities
